At Royall Acres, our first goal is to raise quality goats for all areas of the business.
Meat goats are our primary line. Show wethers for 4-H and FFA, replacement breeder stock and show quality
breeders are also on our agenda. This is a very full agenda, as each type of goat mentioned requires different care and handling.
Goat breeders who have been in the business a while know that top quality show animals do not just happen.
They are bred for the characteristics judges look for.
Though we are new to the show ring, it is an enjoyable and fact filled experience.
Below, are photos of Nikole showing Royall T's Diamond Dust at the East Texas State Fair, September 24, 2008.
Dusty is a young paint buck with beautiful coloring. He isn't quite as large as we would like, but for a starter goat, with us just learning to show, he did great!
Nikole did a fine job training him as well. The most important part of this experience was the fun
we had participating in the show.

This position gives an overall look at Dusty's build. | We were pleased to just get through our first show. A second place ribbon was truly an extra prize! |
